Judicial investigations are conducted to uncover the truth in criminal cases, and most often the knowledge of experts is required. In this context, forensic expertise represents a means of achieving criminal identification. Forensic expertise is an activity of scientific research of traces and material evidence in order to identify persons, animals, objects, substances, or phenomena, and to determine certain properties or changes that have occurred in their content, form, and appearance.
