Abstract

The necessity of developing legal norms with the purpose of protecting basic social relationships inside families was acknowledged at a national and European level. This way, the domestic violence topic was thoroughly reviewed and the opportunity of having means of protecting victims from this phenomenon was generally considered. As a means to protect victims, the legal tool of a temporary protection order was instated and, additionally, to oversee and assure the abiding of the said order through electronic surveillance.
